Debra Gorney-Jankowski is a psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in psychotherapy with children, adolescents and families. She provides individual, play, and family therapy. Debra graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University in 1976 with honors. She earned a master’s degree in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Wayne State University in 1979.
Debra is licensed as an RN and a Nurse Practitioner. She is board-certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
Debra has been in the psychiatric nursing field for almost thirty years. She has taught psychiatric nursing at Oakland University, Mercy College of Detroit, Oakland Community College, and the Hurley School of Nursing (now University of Michigan Flint). She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient programs.
Debra’s areas of professional interest include: mood disorders and Asperger’s Syndrome in children, adolescents and adults.
