Tanya graduated with departmental honors from Albion College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She received her graduated training from Boston University School of Medicine where she obtained her master's degree in Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine.

She is licensed in the State of Michigan as a limited licensed psychologist and has been accepted as a professional member of the American Psychological Association. Tanya's interests are in pediatric and adolescent mental health. She has worked with at-risk youth populations including children infected with the HIV / AIDS virus.

She has been a child advocate in the State of Michigan as a fighting voice for children in need of mental health services and special education. Tanya provides individual, play and group therapy to RCBM patients in addition to psychological testing and screening.
